I went through a lot of ideas for my logo design. The B&A slideshow we were assigned to read for this assignment mentioned ligatures which are essentially letters that easily connect to one another, which my initials happen to do. So I decided to go with that but found it to be a little boring.


Then I got the idea to find an image of pointe shoes and have the ribbons flow into my initials. I had to find a good pointe shoe image, making sure that the ribbons lent themselves to attaching my initials on later. Then I had to find a font that matched the ribbon style. I ended up with two choices. 


The final design is still a little boring but whenever I added other dance-related imagery like a wooden floor and barre, it ended up looking too busy so I decided to leave it clean and simple.
